June 2025

A Musical Theatre Spectacular – Bringing the West End to Derbyshire – 6th June 2025

The Lewis Sewell Memorial Trust returned to Repton School for its annual fundraising concert. Once again, expertly produced by good friend of the Trust – Mark Robert Petty, with musical direction by Tom Arnold, we welcomed six West End stars who performed songs from a varied selection of musicals. The evening provided the opportunity for young people to showcase their talents as we were joined by ensembles from Repton School and schools from the Embark Federation. We also had performances from the Got 2 Sing choir and trustee - Tom Hopcroft.  Highlights of the evening included Chris Weeks' Buddy Holly set, Laura Pick and the Embark Federation choir singing Do Re Me from the 'Sound of Music'. This combined with a plethora of songs from musicals such as Book of Mormon, Evita, Titanic and Wicked provide three hours of top quality entertainment. The Trust would like to thank; Repton School for the fabulous facilities and to Embark Federation for assisting in the organization of the concert.
